I am a writer, a piano teacher, an early childhood educator, a mother of three, and a nature-lover with an unreasonable fear of bugs, critters, and creatures. I write contemporary middle grade novels.

 

I'm a member of SCBWI, and I can often be found at Verla Kay’s Blueboards. (Both are wonderful resources for writers!) I get to combine my love of writing with my love of working with children in their first years of life through the early literacy articles I writes for knowonder!

 

My family and I live near a beautiful brownstone library, complete with fireplace and musty basement. I try to avoid going to the grocery store more than once each week, but I would happily visit the library every day. They let me bring home books. For free.
